The Finn Family Folk Art Tradition
Christopher Finn was one of five children born to Marvin and Helen Lucille Finn.
Born on April 6, 1963 he was raised in Louisville where he graduated from Shawnee High School.
Christopher was a very quiet and private individual who loved science fiction and fantasy stories and books. He was an enthusiastic collector of DC and Marvel comics and became an expert because of his passion for them.
As an artist, he learned to sculpt and paint from his father Marvin, who had learned his love of wood working from his father before him. Chris was always thorough and meticulous about detail, qualities that show through in all of the work that he created.
Chris and Marvin spent years working together and upon Marvin’s passing in 2007, Chris had assumed the responsibility for the Finn folk art tradition.
